The Studio

An independent house for difficult, watchable drama.

Lantern Court develops and produces serialised television built on a simple belief: the most commercial stories and the most honest ones are the same stories. We make shows that are funny where the world is absurd, frank where it is sordid, and serious where it counts.

Founded in 2026, the company works from script to screen — originating ideas in-house, attaching writers and directors, and partnering with broadcasters and streamers to bring them to audiences. Our slate favours closed, high-pressure worlds: the law, finance, medicine, politics — institutions with their own appetites, and the people caught inside them.

The Slate

One story, told properly.

A young company with a deliberate slate. Our focus right now is a single flagship series — developed in-house, scripted, and built to be the show we’re known for.

What We Do

From a blank page to a green light.

Development

Originating ideas in-house and with writers we believe in — from logline to series bible to a deck that gets meetings.

Production

Hands-on physical production — scheduling, budgeting, crewing and post — with a producer’s eye on every frame and every dollar.

Partnership

Packaging projects for broadcasters, streamers and co-producers — and shepherding them through to delivery and audience.

“We don’t chase the unmissable premise. We chase the unmissable character — and let the premise come find them.”

Adrian Alback

Adrian founded Lantern Court to make character-driven drama with cinematic ambition. His craft spans editing, cinematography, post-production workflows and production management, with a particular strength in low-budget, high-impact filmmaking: delivering polished, professional results within tight budgets and schedules. As Founder and Producer, Adrian sets the company’s slate and standard, leads development across every project, and keeps Lantern Court pointed at character first — while championing local talent and crews.

A Note on Submissions

We’re happy to hear about projects in development. Please get in touch by phone or the form — a one-page logline and synopsis is the best place to start, not a full script.
